AICTE Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination conducted by All India Council for Technical Education every year in the month of January. The CMAT is a three hour computer based online test. The CMAT Scores are used for admission to postgraduate management programs of the institutions approved by AICTE.
A citizen of India who is a graduate in any discipline can apply for CMAT. Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) can apply online for CMAT whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for 2017.

General / OBC candidates:Rs1400/- plus bank charges as applicable; SC/ST/PD and women candidates: Rs700/- plus bank charges as applicable.
Payment can be done through following ways:
Method i) ONLINE payment method using Credit card / Debit card / Net Banking
When candidates payment is successful, candidte will receive a confirmation E-mail and SMS. Remaining part of registration process can be done after receiving of email and SMS.
Method ii) CASH Payment in SBI bank: Candidate can pay by CASH at any of the designated SBI bank branch. Online challan is generated. Candidate should take 3 copies of challan, fill in the details and deposit it in nearest SBI bank branch on the next day of generation of Challan.
Fees cannot be paid through Bank Demand Draft or Cheque. There will be no cancellation of application and refund of fee will be allowed.

A candidate can select up-to 3 cities giving order of preference. The first choice of city will be given due consideration and weightage. However, actual allotment will be subject to availability of the slot in that particular city.
The admit card will have candidate's photo, name, signature, CMAT Roll number, test date, time, venue name, venue address, reporting time at the venue, and brief instructions for the candidate.
The CMAT ADMIT CARD will be made available ONLINE on the website and the admit card will be sent to the email address provided by candidate. It is therefore, mandatory for candidates to have a valid email account throughout the selection process. Admit Card is a mandatory requirement in order to take the test. CMAT Admission Process
The detailed merit list will be provided to the respective State Governments for allotting the students through central counseling or otherwise as per their notified admission procedure for MBA and as per Court directives for PGDM. In case there is no central counseling, scores awarded will be used for admission in the AICTE approved Institutes / University Departments.
