DAVV yearly system rules passing marks grace marks supplementary & division rules 2017-18 are given here. State government  has abolished semester system in graduate courses BA / BSc / BCom and implemented annual system from 2017-18.

Salient features of DAVV yearly system 2017-18 

Duration

Duration of the courses of study  shall be 3 academic years.

DAVV Minimum passing marks

In order to pass the examination the candidate is required to secure DAVV minimum passing marks as prescribed in the relevant scheme in the University exam separately in theory / practical and CCE / IA in each of the prescribed subjects.

CCE=   Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation 

IA= Internal Assessment

B.Sc. Scheme, B.A. Scheme, B.Com. Scheme, B.com. Honors Scheme, B.Sc. Home Science Scheme minimum passing marks

Broadly speaking for B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. minimum marks are 26 out of 80 theory marks, 07 marks out of 20 CCE / IA marks and 17 out of 50 practical marks for regular students. For private students minimum marks are 33 out of 100 theory marks and 17 out of 50 practical marks. The candidate should refer scheme of study for further details.

DAVV grace marks

  • 03 (three) grace marks may be given in one subject each year in order a student could pass the exam. Supplementary examines shall not be given grace marks.
  • 01 (one) grace mark may be given by Kulpati to a student so that he may get First, Second or Third division. 
  • These grace marks shall not be given simultaneously. These marks are not added anywhere. 

DAVV Supplementary

If a candidate fails in only one subject / group, he may take supplementary exam. Candidates failing in more than one  subject, he shall appear in the main exam in all subjects to be held next year. A student is required to clear a subject in max 04 continuous attempts.

DAVV Division

A student shall be awarded division as under:

First Division: Score >= 60 % aggregate of three years.

Second Division: score >=45% and <60%

Third Division: score > =33% and < 45%
